It’s that time of year again, and we’re looking for the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2013!
Welcome to the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2013, the annual event that recognises, rewards and promotes achievement of women in business in the North East.
This will be an astounding 14th year that this prestigious award ceremony will be contested. Eagerly anticipated by women entrepreneurs all over the North East this is a great chance to showcase their hard work and achievements during the previous twelve months.
Why should you enter?
Receiving a WIN Award will not only ensure your organisation will have the kudos of being an award winning organisation, but it will also be an opportunity to showcase the company and its expertise amongst your contemporaries thus further encouraging others to follow your example.
By entering you can also benchmark your business against others, sharpen the focus of your business and its activities, learn from other organisations and very importantly motivate and reward your colleagues.
Entry open for the 2013 WIN Awards. If you are a woman running a business in any sector, of any size, shape or turnover, we want to hear your story. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started or you’ve been trading for years, there’s a category for you - and entering couldn’t be easier.

Come along to one of our WIN Wednesdays to hear about the entry process; find out what the judges are looking for, be inspired by previous winners and the impact winning has had on them; and of course gain some valuable contacts.
Thursday May 23rd – Launch Date. Entry period for the Awards opens.
Friday September 6th – DEADLINE FOR ENTRY.
September 24th - October 5th – Visits to Shortlisted Companies.
Friday October 25th – Final Judging Panel.
Friday November 15th – The North East Women’s Conference, Gateshead College.

Who should enter?
Any woman who is operating a woman-owned/women-led business in the North East of England. Nominees should be heading up an independent organisation and must be the main driving force behind the business or social enterprise.
The “Key Woman Award” is open to women in a senior position playing a key role in the transformation, development or growth of a business or organisation.
