*particular as a brand is essentially made up of a legal practice and an online subscription business aimed at the SME market. The latter offers legal and commercial support via podcasts, diaries and downloadable documents. This innovative way of teaching SME’s about legal issues which may affect their business now or in the future is focused on knowledge sharing and empowerment allowing the user to learn more about a specific area from the easy to understand and accessible online presentations.
The legal practice is a small team of enthusiastic lawyers who enjoy working with all SME businesses in the region including incubating graduate and spin out businesses within various universities and colleges. We, as a team understand the needs of the SME, many of us having been in business for ourselves as well as practicing law. We further understand that there is a real need for affordable, understandable, good quality legal advice and mentoring to be delivered by lawyers who are 10+ years qualified to SME’s. It is the mission statement of *particular to provide this affordable and understandable legal support inspired by the 21st Century to all businesses in the SME sector, to advise with whatever's required to take an idea to market and to be part of the team who supports our clients growth on an ongoing basis.

My career in law commenced in 1999 when I qualified as a Barrister and much of my career after that has been spent working for large corporate bodies. My current role at Particular Law allows me to work with SME and high growth businesses throughout the North East offering commercialisation advice.
