The streets of historic Durham City will come alive with a musical and dance extravaganza next month with the launch of a brand new festival titled ‘Streets of Dance’.
Ingrid Wagner is setting out to break another world record but this time for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Her exciting and unique Big Knit Project aims to create the world’s largest one piece knitted textile on knitting needles 4 metres long with a diameter of 6.5cm and raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in the process. The planned year long Project needs a team of volunteers to get the show on the road to the four corners of the UK and see it through 2008/9. So, what’s the big idea? Big Knit needs you. Can you help?
